ERASMUS MUNDUS JOINT MASTER

Economic Engineering

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Economic Engineering is an innovative, interdisciplinary graduate program jointly delivered by Yıldız Technical University (Türkiye), Centro Universitário Integrado (Brazil), and University of Applied Sciences WSGE (Poland).

Designed as a fully integrated international master’s degree, the program combines advanced analytical methods, quantitative modeling, and applied economic decision-making to address complex global challenges in an increasingly data-driven world.

A Truly International Learning Experience

The program spans two academic years (120 ECTS) and is delivered entirely in English. Students study across multiple consortium institutions, gaining exposure to diverse academic traditions, regulatory systems, and economic environments in Europe and beyond.

This mobility-based structure fosters intercultural competence, comparative policy understanding, and the ability to operate in international professional contexts. Upon successful completion, graduates are awarded a joint Master’s diploma issued by the participating institutions, officially recognizing the integrated and collaborative nature of the program.

Merit-Based Admission and Scholarships

Admission is competitive and merit-based. Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree (minimum 180 ECTS) and demonstrate strong academic background and English proficiency (minimum CEFR B2).

Through the Erasmus Mundus framework, the program offers prestigious EMJM scholarships, covering tuition fees, travel support, and a monthly living allowance. Scholarships are awarded based on academic excellence and final ranking by the joint selection committee.

Governance, Quality, and Institutional Commitment

The program operates under the legal frameworks of the partner institutions and relevant higher education authorities. Academic coordination, curriculum alignment, credit transfer, and student evaluation are jointly managed to ensure transparency, consistency, and high academic standards.

The consortium is committed to:

  • Academic integrity and ethical conduct
  • Data protection and student confidentiality
  • Intellectual property protection in collaborative research
  • Equal opportunity and inclusive access

Academic Excellence and Rigor

The curriculum is carefully structured to provide:

  • Strong foundations in quantitative economics and engineering-based analytical methods
  • Advanced statistical modeling and computational approaches
  • Applied problem-solving in economic systems and policy environments
  • A research-oriented Master’s thesis (30 ECTS) developed under international supervision

Each semester corresponds to 30 ECTS, ensuring academic intensity aligned with European Higher Education Area standards. Academic progression, evaluation, and quality assurance mechanisms follow internationally recognized regulations and consortium-wide coordination.
